How do we do this?

Well, it is very simply that this is not our main business but is something that we do to provide an extra level of service to our guests in the hotel so we are also able to extend the same service to anyone else who wants to save a little money which they can better spend on something else to make their holiday as memorable as possible.

In case you are wondering, No, it doesn't mean that we skimp on servicing our equipment or anything like that. We base, edge and wax all of our skis between rentals so that you get the best possible experience. Of course, it is still possible that we have failures such as broken skis or uncomfortable boots but should you have any problems while you are on the mountain, call us and we will be happy to come to you to resolve anything which is interfering with your day's skiing, OR, if it is not urgent, come to us at the end of the day and we will be happy to help you in anyway that we can.

Our opening hours are:

Monday - Sunday:   8:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 18:00

If you are organising a group fitting or have specific needs, we can also arrange times to suit your schedule if you make a booking with us. Just give us a call and we will do what we can to fit in with you to give you the best chance to maximise your time on the mountain.

Our Ski Rental Prices

Our skis are all modern carving skis with matched bindings. Within our ski range, you will find skis manufactured by:

Atomic
Blizzard
Head
Salomon
and premium skis made by Atomic and Blizzard.

All of our skis are serviced in-house after each rental and are fitted to each individual according to industry practice.

If you have any problems during the rental period, please come and see us so that we can either make any appropriate adjustments or exchange the skis and/or boots for something more suitable.

Also, if you feel that the skis need re-waxing, you are welcome to visit us at the end of your days skiing and we will make sure that they are serviced and ready for you the following morning.

Our Snowboard Rental Prices

Although snowboards are not the main part of our business, we still carry a selection of boards from:

Atomic
Burton
Head
and Oxygen.

Like our skis, all of our snowboards are serviced in-house after each rental. Fitting is also offered, although it is often better for the bindings to be adjusted by the individual as they ride to find the best settings.

If you have any problems during the rental period, please come and see us so that we can either make any appropriate adjustments or exchange the snowboards and/or boots for something more suitable.

Also, if you feel that the snowboard needs re-waxing, you are welcome to visit us at the end of your days riding and we will make sure that it is serviced and ready for you the following morning.

Our Other Rental Prices

You will also find various other items our shop which you may need during your visit.

One of the most important is a helmet and you will find that we have a wide selection of helmets in stock to suit almost everyone, whether they be Adult or Child.

You can also rent Langlauf or Cross-Country skis if you want to go exploring some of the local routes,
a pair of sticks so that you can go hiking through the woods,
or maybe you want a sledge to use to ride down the paths.

These are all available, just come and see us and we will get you sorted and on your way as soon as possible.

Our Servicing Prices

Something which can lead to a much more enjoyable experience is to ensure that you skis are regularly serviced.

The simplest waxing of the bases of your skis can make a big difference to the way that they perform while making sure that the edges are clean and sharp will make is so much easier to turn and control the ski, especially if you find that the conditions are a little icy. Sometimes, you can not help but catch a rock which will damage the base of your ski. This can make a big difference to the way that a ski performs and yet it is a simple and inexpensive job to repair the damage, ensuring your skiing is made as enjoyable as possible.

As a simple rule, we would always suggest that you should have your skis waxed every 3 days to a week, depending on the snow conditions. Certainly, if the bases of your skis are drying out or looking a little white, you should get them rewaxed as it will make them slide much more smoothly.

If you are finding that you are not gripping so well when you are cornering on ice, this is a good indication that your edges may need attention and if you have any deep cuts in the base, you should have them filled as soon as possible to prevent water from getting through to the core of the ski and causing more damage.

Lastly, after your last day's skiing, it is highly recommended to have your skis serviced. The benefit of this is that the bases can be repaired where necessary and the edges sharpened so that they are ready for you when you next go skiing, but perhaps the most important thing is that the thin film of wax which is applied will help to protect the edges of the skis and prevent them of being pitted by rust while they are stored. Of course, it goes without saying that you should store your skis in a clean and dry place and not simply leave them in a damp garage until you want to use them next.

All of these services are included as part of the ski rental but otherwise, if you have your own skis, bring them along and we will be happy to service them for you.

There is no charge for this, we will simply arrange to meet you at your accomodation at a time which is convenient to you and then bring you to our shop to fit your equipment and the take you back 'home' again!"
